Just A Note.......

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday on my blog and that can only mean one thing!!! i{heart}copics on PCP challenge. This week we were given a recipe to follow. Use copics on your project, 2 designer papers and 3 embellishments. Here is what I came up with!!!

I used a wonderful image from The Chicken Girl Designs that you can get along with just about everything else including the copics to color with at i{heart}papers. Take a look around, I am certain you will find tons! I thought the trio was just darling and would brighten anyone's day that received it in the post!  Colored with my copics of course and just a touch of glossy accents to give it a bit of shine on parts.  I thought the paper with the musical notes was fitting both with the image and the sentiment. I finished my card with my 3 different embellishments. A trio of black brads, a checkered bow and a trebble clef (think that is what it is called). Anyway I thought it fit the theme!

Cat and Flute: C1, C3, C5, C7
Dog and Guitar: E25, E27, E29, E33
Bird: B00, B12

I hope you will all pop on over and give this challenge a try too!

Thanks A Bunch.......

I say those 3 words many times but want to start out my post today again with "Thanks a bunch" to everyone who takes time out of their busy life to come to my blog and support me by leaving comments.  I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best! This week we have "ANYTHING GOES" as our challenge. I know you all love those kind of challenges.  Anything at all will fit!  So show us your stuff!
All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin! On a sad note we had to say goodbye this week to one of our best. Michelle is leaving for personal reasons and I want to wish her the very best in her upcoming adventure!! You will be missed.......

I chose the Rose Fan this week for my project and colored it with copics and then glazed the fan part with glossy accents.  I made my grunge rose embellishment with a tute that I found with the same method as the Tim Holtz style but using your cricut instead of a sizzix die. The tute can be found HERE. I then sprayed it with a home made red glimmermist and made some leaves to match. The sentiment was an old Stampin' Up stamp.
Copics:
Roses: R22, R27, R29
Leaves: G14, G17, G24
Fan: C1, C3, C5, C7

So won't you pop on over and join us and try your hand at the challenge. Don't forget to check out the Digi Doodle Shop. You will not beleive all the new stamps that have been added. If you do not keep checking back you will miss sooooooo much!!! The winner of the challenge will get a $10.00 gift certificate to use at the shop!

Luxurious Touche..........

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday on my blog and that can only mean one thing!!! i{heart}copics on PCP challenge. This week we were given a picture for inspiration.  We could make any kind of project we would like as long as we used our copics and pulled our inspiration from this lovely picture.

As you can see it has many elements to pull from so after much thought this is what I came up with.

I used one of my newest images from ©ching-chou kuik's Light of Beautitude. You can get her at Sweet Pea Stamps. I was so very lucky to have received mine as a gift for my Birthday from my dear friend Harriet! Thanks again!!!  I of course colored her with my copics and you can get yours the same place I do at i{heart}papers.  I added a few touches of glitter and glossy accents and then placed her on a Spellbinders classic frame that was cut and then embossed with gold embossing.  Ribbon and swirls along with a Hero Arts butterfly complete the look.  What do you think? Did I pull enough elements from the inspiration piece???

I hope you will join us and give it a try yourself!!! I just know it will be LUXURIOUS!!!!

Paper Flowers........

Hello and welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best! This week we are challenging everyone to "A Sketch"  How easy is that??? Just follow where to put what and you are finished!!!!

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin!

This week we are being sponsored by Pear Tree Designs.

The winner will will get a new digital image, which has not yet been released and also a choice of another of their digital images. Many of the DT members including myself have created this week with one of Pear Tree Designs images called Flowers Galore.

I chose this week to mainly paper piece my project!!! Yes you heard me right, the only coloring I did was the tiny bee, butterfly and the stems on the flowers. My signature chalked background, buttons on each flower center and then matching colored buttons down the ribbon. A bit of glitter to give it sparkle and a coordinating butterfly in the corner to finish off my project.  I told you following a sketch is EASY!!!!!

So won't you pop on over and join us and try your hand at the sketch.  Don't forget to check out the Digi Doodle Shop.  You will not beleive all the new stamps that have been added. If you do not keep checking back you will miss sooooooo much!!!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday????

I keep seeing people do this on their blog and every week I keep saying I am going to do it but, I get busy and don't.  Well this week I promised my good friend Hart I would so here it is.  As you can see my studio is in my basement and we do not have walls yet!  My hubby has made me my main desk and it was made out of 20 - 2x4's set on their side and then sanded down and polished to be like glass.  I tell you a hurricane or tornado could probably hit and this desk would still be standing! It is 10 feet long and I use every inch of it!!! This is about 1/4 of it.  To the right is my TV.  On this picture you get to view my lifeline, my PC.The little lady bug on top of my flat screen was a gift from my twin daughters (my little lady bugs) and I always have it near me. See all the sticky notes on it? Whenever I see a new product I want or a new copic color I must have I jot it down on my sticky note. I also got a pic of my favorite tool my magnifying light.  I am getting old and my eyesight is getting bad even with glasses.  This thing is MAGIC!!! I color looking through it and even the smallest detail is able to be seen.  The best investment I have made.  I am working on my i{heart}copic project and just pulled out some copics that I am going to use so they are laying in front of me along with a Sweet Pea image that I got for my Birthday from my dear friend Harriet.

Well that is about it.  Not to damaging.  Let me tell you it does not always look this clean!!!  You will find this along with all the rest of the peoples desks at The Stamping Ground.

Dream.........

I have just been introduced into the world of Alice lately and have been intrigued! I find myself now looking at many of the images I have and seeing them in a different light!  The one above will be an example of just that.  I am entereing her into a few challenges and you will see what I mean.

First of all I started out with an inspiration piece to work with from the Oh Alice! challenge blog! It is the Mad Watch!

I then looked and decided to use one of the lovely faces from my ©ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection sheet 14. You can find them at Sweet Pea Stamps.  I also decided to use the sketch from the Sweet Pea Stamper challenge blog.

So when I put the two together I came up with my final Kreation!!! I hope you like!!!

I colored the image with my copics and then I found some clock hands on the net and made them and attached with a brad.  I went digging through my hubby's work shop and found the gears to mimic the watch and added those.  I found an old chain that I had and attached through an eyelet.  At the end of the chain I put a blue butterfly to remind us of how Absolem (the blue caterpillar)changes to a butterfly at the end of the movie. The blue flower, ribbon and the bow are all made from my home made crinkle seam binding ribbon. I topped off the entire project with the sentiment "DREAM" since that is what she had thought she was doing the entire time. Dreaming!!!!!

I am also going to enter this into the June challenge on the Sweet Pea blog. Anything goes!!!

Other Challenges:
Crafty Angels - favorite stamps
Whoopsi Daisy - ribbons and bows

Holy COW ....Eat Chicken!

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday on my blog and that can only mean one thing!!! i{heart}copics on PCP challenge. This week we were given the wonderful new releases from The Chicken Girl Designs to work with. You can get these great digis along with all your paper crafting needs from i{heart}papers.

As many of you know I live in Wisconsin so when I saw the new designs I just had to pick the cow!!!! My only concern was (why would he be grilling burgers?) Wouldn't that be like cannibilism? The only answer I could come up with is that they had to be CHICKEN burgers!!!!!!! So I added the little tag that said "EAT CHICKEN" on the side!  I also thought it added just a bit of whimsy to my card!  OF COURSE I colored this cutie with my handy dandy copics, actually I colored him twice and popped him up to give him a 3D look. My background was done in my signature way with my chalks.  The DP is from a packet that can also be found along with copics at a wonderful price again at i{heart}papers. I added a trilium of buttons and a coordinating bow and my grill master was ready for a summer BBQ!

So get your copics out and join us. All you have to do is create a project using them and follow me over to the group on PCP because I know many of you are all like me and i{heart}copics.

# 1 Dog .......

Hello and welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best! This week we are challenging everyone to "Tie It Up" on their project! How easy is that??? Tie something in any application that you please as long as we can see them somewhere on your KREATION!!!!

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin! We also have a new Guest DT's with us this week. I am so excited to see all that she will create for the month.  The winner of the challenge will get a $10.00 gift certificate to The Digi Doodle Shop.  Judy and Joy have been in overdrive filling it with wondrous stamps to choose from. I just know you will find something to delight.

I used one of the newest stamps from the Ragga Mutts Series called "Guard Dog".  Doesn't he just look vicious?  I thought he was just the cutest thing with his head and butt sticking out of his oh too small house!!!! I of course colored him with copics and then added a bit of stickles to the grass, glossy accents to highlight the roof lines and just a touch of flocking here and there on his tail and ears. The sky was done with my signature chalk and a couple of large brads were added.

I found this wonderful charm in the shape of a bone that had " # 1 DOG" on it in my stash and thought that was perfect for the sentiment so it was tied on to his twine rope.   I think this stamp could be used as a Birthday card or I am thinking right now as a Father's Day card. After all aren't all our Dad's the # 1 Dog or Top Dog!!!!

I Hope you will all join us over at the Digi Doodle Shop's Best and give your try at tying one on!

Enchanting Aqua.........

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today I show you my catch from my weekend fishing! Just kidding. I did not catch a mermaid more like a minnow.  This week at Sweet Pea Stamper's they are asking for a creation in Aqua and Brown. I decided to use ©ching-chou kuik's Enchanting Gold and change her to Aqua!  You can get her at Sweet Pea Stamps.

I watched Alice in Wonderland on Sunday - can you believe I have never seen nor actualy known the story before.  Anyway the line in the movie that made the biggest impression on me was from the Mad Hatter to Alice.  He says something to her about her loosing her muchness. Now with all of the craziness in my life lately I too feel I have been loosing my muchness, my heart. I think I was much muchier before.  I need to get that back. Some of you call it mojo, I am going to call it muchness!  Anyway I feel much muchier when I am working on these lovely creations.  They are like a second skin to me.  My markers feel like extentions of my fingers and hands and the colors just flow from my brain to the paper.  I love all of the details and the fun embellishing them.  If that sounds bonkers to you well then maybe the Mad Hatter and I have much in common!

I colored my beauty with my copics and spritzed her with some shimmer spray. If you look real close you can see it on the close up. I added liquid pearls in opal here and there, added stickles (have to add sparkle) a bit of glossy accents to her eyes and lips and finished with my signature chalked background.  I cut the leaves and flower stem with my cricut.  The flower was made with a tute that I found on my friend Amber's blog, You can see it HERE. I love how it turned out! Thanks a bunch Amber! A couple of gems colored with copics finished the creation.

Sprinkle of Fairy Dust........

I hope you are ready to enjoy the weekend. I know I am. I have had a stressful week of job hunting.  Man I have studied soooooo hard, brushing up on Microsoft Word and Excel.  Hopefully it will all pay off and I will get a great job soon.  I did have a couple of interviews and took tests on MS Office and scored the highest you can which they called master.  Please think good thoughts for me.  This lovely creature is for the challenge at Sweet Pea Stampers.  The challenge this week was called a Sprinkle of Fairy Dust.  Now most of you know I can not do a card with out doing some kind of sparkle on it so this was a no brainer for me.

For my Kreation I used ©ching chou kuik's Spring Spread by Sweet Pea Stamps. I just adore the sweetness of her face. I colored her with my copics and then added tons of stickles to make her flowers sparkle.  I then added some spanish moss, some twigs and a butterfly that I found in the grill of my car.  I figured if it had to give it's life up at least I could make it imortal on my card.  Mulberry paper and pink vellum were added on top of the DP to soften the look and a trio of pink pearls gave it some soft bling.

Relaxing Dad.......

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday on my blog and that can only mean one thing!!! i{heart}copics on PCP challenge. This week is an easy one, make a masculine or Father's Day card.  Well you can see I chose the later!  My daughter asked me to make her boyfriend a card and so here it is. He has just became a NEW father so this is his first Father's Day!

I used one of the newest images from The Digi Doodle Shop called Relaxing Dad.  They have the cutest digi's around. Check them out! I thought he was just perfection for a Father's Day card or any summer one. He just screams Summer to me.  I colored him in with what else my trusty copics.  You can get your copics like me at a great price at i{heart}papers. They have not only copics but everything else you might need to make a card. My signature background was done with my chalks.  I cut out a second set of tree tops out which I had printed my sentiment on and popped them up for a 3D look.  I also poked a bit of wire through to hang my hammock onto the tree. A trio of buttons and some glossy accents on his hammock itself finished off my project.

So hop on over, join us. I am certain you will amaze us with your creations.

Ray of Hope........

Hello and welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best! This week we are challenging everyone to use "Buttons" on their project! How easy is that??? Use them in any application that you please as long as we can see them somewhere on your KREATION!!!!

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin! We also have 2 Guest DT's with their last creation for the month. We are so sad to see them go but we will be picking a new Guest DT member for next month and announcing in the next couple of days.

Judy and Joy over at the Digi Doodle Shop have been working extra hard to create stamps that we on the DT have requested.  This one was one that I had asked for and I am pleased as punch with how it turned out.  I live about 5 miles up the road from a small town that is known for its Marina and Lighthouse and I also have a very soft spot in my heart for a particular lighthouse on Hilton Head Island. I chose to color mine to look somewhat like the one on Hilton Head by adding the stripes.

I used copics to color the image and then used chalk to make the background on my Kreation and guess what not a stickle or glitter in sight. Instead I sprayed it with some shimmer mist that my very dear friend Harriet sent to me. (Thanks a bunch)  It is just so very pretty in person! The sentiment is by Stamp'in Up and buttons and twine finished it off. This stamp can be used in soooooooo many ways and I am certain I will be getting tons of use from it.  Thanks Judy and Joy for creating it!!!!

So please hop on over and join in on this oh so simple of challenges! Also do not forget to see what has been added to The Digi Doodle Shop. Judy and her Mom have been working hard and have added new stamps certain to please again this week.
