Picking Something Fun........

Happy Wednesday everyone or hump-day as we call it in my neck of the woods.  I am writing this before I get ready for work so I have to keep it short!  By the way so far I am loving my job!!!

My brother in law's birthday is in about a week and he is a farmer so I wanted to find an image that kinda reflected that for his card. I came up with this one from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I didn't want to go to overboard with the design since it is for a guy so I colored him in and then glossed the tomatoes, his shoes and the hankie hanging out of his pocket for dimension. Some twine and a trio of buttons basically finished off the front.  My sentiment was stamped with an old Stampin' Up stamp.  I have so many of those that I have had for ages and thought maybe I should start using them a bit.
Inside the card I put this verse:
"I hope you pick something
fun to do today!
You deserve it!!"

Kinda corny but I thought it fit with the image. Well I hope he likes it anyway cuz it comes from my heart!!

Flowing in Silver.....

Hello everyone.  One of my dear friends Pascale has a challenge blog called Sweet Pea Stampers and of course I had to make a card to place into her challenge. The criteria was bows and brads so I decided to use ©ching-chou kuik's Flowing in Blue available at Sweet Pea Stamps.  This beauty can be bought as a single stamp or on a sheet with 3 others.  I can not believe all the new artists that Lynette is bringing in at Sweet Pea.  If you are a Fantasy lover you will be certain to find something that touches your heart!!!

As you see in my title I have decided to be flowing in silver.......  I colored my new stamp with all pinks except her eyes and then colored the background with grays to make her look silvery!  I also added some pink stickles and some Opal liquid pearls for dimension. To keep in the pink and silver I used tones of those colors in my DP- scraps I have had forever, card stock, brads and bow.  I hope you like her as much as I loved making this one!!!

Just A Little........

Good day all. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was a great one here in our house The Wisconsin Badgers, our college football team beat the number1 team in the country the Ohio Buckeyes!  It was quite a celebration!!!!  I have little time to post since I am doing this before I go to work, so I better get to it.

I chose this little guy to make to give to one of my new co-workers for Halloween. It is a Stampin' Up stamp from a set of Teddies. I really have a soft spot for Teddy Bears and just thought he was too cute.  I colored him and then cut and doubled up some of the pumpkins with pop dots to give dimension.  I added some stickles,  a trio of buttons tied with some raffia to match the raffia bow.  I stitched around the perimeter and added the sentiment that also came in the set!!!    I hope you like.

Boo.....

Happy Sunday To All!  I finally had a bit of time to spend playing and pulled out a set of mine that I have had for probably now 10 years at least! So I blew all the dust off and decided to use it. LOL!!! It is a Stampin' Up Set and has all these cute little Halloween critters.

I colored my image and then added a bit of stickles I wanted a dimensional card so I stamped parts again and double layered the mouses cape and the large pumpkin. I used one of my decorative scissors to cut the image out and then attached it to my black card stock with some silver brads.  To keep with our spooky feel I tore the paper at the bottom and used a star DP at top to match the Trick or Treaters hat.  My final touches were my spider hanging from a spider web and my sentiment in scrabble tiles.  I hope you like!

Let's Read...

Today I wanted to share with you some goodies I made for my older Grandkids!!!  I think one of the most important things is the love of reading and I have always bought and have book readily available for my babies when they come over.  This fall I decided for the ones that are at least old enough to understand what it would be used for I would make special book marks.  Here is just a sampling of the one's I have made.

Now I know that some of you have wondered how my first days on my new job are going!!!!!  I just do not know how some of you do all you do.  First off the place and the people I am working with are magnificent!!!  They have welcomed me with open arms.  There are even a couple that are interested in card making. My problem is by the time I get home, get dinner done, clean up the kitchen I am whipped.  All I want to do is crawl into bed!!!  I am hoping this will all change once I get into a routine and I have learned my job a bit more.  Maybe I am just concentrating soooooooooooooo hard that I tire myself out!!!  You know how it is when you are getting older.  LOL!!!!!

For my older granddaughters I used one of Samantha Rawlings Little Sweethearts called "The Butterfly Fairy". She can be purchased as a single stamp or with 3 other adorable sweeties at Sweet Pea Stamps.
The boys got a book mark with this cute as pie dragon from Lisa Victoria's Fantasy Collection called "First Day of School" available as a single stamp or with 3 others, one I will show you next from Sweet Pea Stamps.

And last but not least the little girls got this bouncing ballerina also from Lisa Victoria's Fantasy Collection called "Dragon Ballerina" also available as a single stamp or on a sheet with 3 other wonderful stamps at Sweet Pea Stamps.

Well I better get ready for work.  Thanks for letting me share with you today.  Don't forget to check out our challenge blog            - "In A Sweet Pea Dream" and try your hand at the current challenge!

Little Black Unicorn .....

Hello and Welcome to my blog!!! Today I am off starting my new job but wanted to make certain that I had something new to show you all.  I made this for my Sweet Darlin' Kerry's 7th Birthday.  She likes unicorns and pony's so I thought she would like this one. I have given it to her and she loved it!

I used one of the stamps from Elaine Cox's Art Collection called "Little Black Unicorn". I think she is just adorable.  Her face is so very sweet and innocent!  Perfect for a young girls card! You can get her as a single stamp or with three others and a sentiment at Sweet Pea Stamps.

I decided to make this one a gate fold card.  I need to start shakin' things up a bit!

Since my angel lives in Baltimore, the best thing to get her is a gift card.  She wanted to get her Brownie uniform and all the goodies that went with it!!! I added a simple pocket to fit it in.

My stamp was colored in with copics and then stickles were added to give it sparkle. Now that wasn't enough so I added some tiny little gems to give it some more!!!! He wings, the star and the sun were also frosted with a healthy dose of glitter. After all what little girl doesn't like glitter?????  I matted her with a punched mat and then a sentiment from Sweet Pea.  The final elements were the bright pink bow and the tri colored flower with a big brad that I have had in my stash forever!!

Thanks for letting me share with you today.  Remember I will get around to your blogs when I get home from work tonight!!!

Don't forget to join us at our challenge blog "In A Sweet Pea Dream" for our current challenge and chance to win some great prizes.
