Serenity.......

Today is my hubby's 50th birthday and we are traveling to his family in Minnesota to celebrate both his b-day and Mother's Day so this post is scheduled. I hope it worked.  This week The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the challenge over at Card Patterns Weekly Sketch Blog. The sketch is a lovely one to work with and I enjoyed making my card.

I chose to use the lovely Serenity as my main focus.

I colored her with copics and the added some stickles to give her that sparkle. My gold gel pen gave her all the fairy dust around her.

My butterfly was stamped with a Hero Arts stamp and the colored with Pearlescent watercolors.  I popped it up and curled the wings. Behind it I placed some coordinating ribbon.  The hydragia punch going up the side of my card is by MS. I hope you will join me in the challenge.

Lady Bug......

Many of you know I have twin daughters and when they were little girls I had always called them my little lady bugs.  Now that they are adults they give me little things here and there to remind me that no matter how old they get that has not changed.  I passed that name on to my granddaughters now so I guess when I saw this stamp I knew I just had to use it.

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the challenge this week at Cupcake Craft Challenge and the theme is Don't Be Square!  So I made my round card to fit the bill!

I chose as I said, Audrey with ladybugs and colored her with copics. Added some stickles a checked bow, a ladybug button and a few pearls. My DP is by the Paper Company and has the cutest glittery bugs on it too.

So Don't Be Square and come on over and join me in this fun challenge and the chance to win 5 digi's or 3 rubber stamps from The Stamping Boutique.

Cock-A-Doodle-Do ......I Did It !

As many of you know if you are my true followers I was in a contest on my Design Team for  The Stamping Boutique for our One Stop Blog Hop!!! Well I wanted to first thank each and every one of you that hopped over and participated!  Even if you did not end up voting for my project I appreciate the fact that you took your precious time and played.  I also want to say a very, very, special thank you to all of you that knew my love for chalk so figured out my background and my true passion to put feathers on any little bird I can find so knew when they saw this little chicks with tail feathers that this was mine.  Many also knew this was mine because of all the details and I was happy to be known for this.

Anyway with out all of you, my friends, my followers I could not say right now with great pride!!!

I WON!!!!

In case you did not know what image I had been given to work with here it is! My image was the little chick.  At first my mind was a blank on what I was to do with it but then th wheels started turning and I started drawing!

Each DT was given one of the farm images and we had to create a project to feature that image.  I first of all decided on an easel card.  I then cut all of my barn boards and chalked the edges to give them depth and pieced my barn together. A computer generated sentiment and chicken coop sign was hung. I made my fences and placed them to come out from my barn.  Glued on all my pieces of hay and made my little feed bag. After that I painfully glued the feathers on all those tiny little bums of my chicks.  Put them on folding stands and placed them on my card as if some where pecking the feed off the ground.  A sun and cloud in my chalked sky and it was ready. My whole card is made to fold and fit in a 6 x 6 envelope.

Once again I have to say I could not have done this with out YOU ALL and for this I am most gratefull!!!! Thank you!

Singing In The Rain.......

Since it is almost April and after all April Showers bring May flowers this would be a fitting image and post!!!   Today The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the challenge over at The Creative Belli Blog and the theme is color spray. Well that was a tough one for me since I am a novice at this.  I got my new Shimmer paints out and my old blow pens and gave it a whirl.  This is what I came up with.

I used the shimmer on the pages of an old hymnal for the sheet music and then I used a tutorial from Mercy which can be found here to make my puffy flower. I used the same shimmer paint in two different shades of blue on the flower and used the same pages from the old hymnal.  I was so pleased with how it turned out.  I wanted my background paper to look like rain so I got my old blow pens out and used that on it.  I was on a roll.  I colored with copics and added a bit of glossy accents to the water, stickles here and there and a few dew drops and a computer generated sentiment with the font Evertime I Miss You and she was ready for her audition with Gene Kelly.

Isn't she just the cutest???

So darn proud of my flower!!!

Copic Colors: skin: E00,E02
The rest: RV00, R81, YV03, YG03, YG09, YG15, Y11, B00, B12,
RV04, BV00, V12, E00 E33

Easter Egg Hunting......

Today The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the challenge at The Easy Crafts Projects  Blog and the theme was Easter.  Now I have colored my fair share of bunnies this season so I wanted to do something different.  I came up with Easter Egg Hunting!!! I hope you like!

I first made 3 eggs out of some bright primary colors and then placed AJ upon some coordinating ribbon. The green DP was suppose to give you the idea of grass.  I of course colored AJ with copics but did this a while back and did not keep track of the colors I used.  Glazed his tennies and just a touch of stickles on his shirt.  To make the eggs stand out a bit and not look flat I pulled out my handy dandy chalks and gave them some depth.  A bit of white highlites and wala!!!! An Easy Craft Project!!!!!!

Enchantment Blog Hop - The Stamping Boutique......

Hello everyone and welcome to The Stamping Boutique's release and blog hop for the new line of Enchantment Series.  Tracey has drawn some beauties for us and we are so excited to show them off!

Now if you are one of my wonderful visitors I am as always thankful, but I do not want you to miss a thing so please start at the begining which is Tracey's terrific blog!!! If you came here from Lorie's lucious blog you are in the right place.

My project was made with the stamp called In Bloom.  Isn't she just gorgeous????? Like she was just born from the bloom of the flower.  I colored her with my copics and then added tranparent glitter to her wings.  I added bits of stickles to the flower and her dress.  To complte the image and the card I used my gold gel pen to place the gold dots and stars that Tracey draws on her image all over my project.  The branch and flowers were done on my cricut. The DP is from S.E.I. and was the inspiration for my color scheme.

Now it is off to see what magic Mary has in store for you.  I have put the list of everyone in the hop in case you get lost.  Have a magical ENCHANTED time!!!

The Stamping Boutique will have all stamps on sale at 40% off during the blog hop and the winner will get an unrelease stamp featured on Tracey's blog.

Dancing Fairy!!!

When I look at this sweet image from The Stamping Boutique all I could see is a Dancing Fairy, twirling around on the branch of the tree! How nice that would be. To have no cares in the world and be like a child and just dance the day away!!!  This week The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the challenge at Practical Scrappers.  The theme was to use something that has been in your stash for over a year.  Well I can tell you the only thing new other than the stamp is the three little pearls that I put on this card.  I could go on that show the horders when it comes to craft stuff.  Some of my papers are 5 years old and the lace I have on this card I have had for at least 7 years!!! So I think my KREATION fit the bill.

I did some layering on her skirt. This has become one of my favorite techniques of late. It just adds that extra something.  The little flower on the right was made by slip stitching some ribbon together until you get the desired look.  I have been making these out of my scrap ribbon and I like the punch it gives my card.

The copics I have used are as follows:
Skin: E00, E02 and pink chalk on her cheeks
Her dress: B0000, B00, B12, B24 blues
E93, E95 and YR04 peaches
Tree trunk: E11, E13, E25
Leaves: G21, G17
Stickles: Cotton Candy, Eucalyptus and Baby Blue
Crystal Effects- Stampin' Up
Pearls - Recollections
DP and cardstock from my stash

Dance A Jig!!!

The KLM Post Is Below This One!

Today The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring The Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog and here is my card for this challenge.

I used three stamps on my card, The Pot of Gold, Audrey and AJ.

I have colored all of the images with my copics and then cut Audrey and AJ out and popped them up and added them to the main card.  A bit of stickles have been added and a few parts have also been glazed.  I added a few more of the gold specks and stars that were on the main image.  The sentiment was hand written.

Speed Racer!!!!

Hello all my blogger friends.  Today I post my first project as a member of the Design Team for The Stamping Boutique!  I was asked to be a member while on vacation and was thrilled to accept but with being gone just was not able to Kreate anything until I got back. Tracey does have some of the cutest images out there. Please be certain to check them out!!

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring a young man and I mean a young man that has a blog for children to showcase their talent. His blog is Little Hands Do Crafts.

My name is Morgan I am a 9 yr old boy and love to craft with my mom, my 6 yr old sister Alexis and my 5 yr old brother Jesse.

My mom helped me set up this blog so we can show everything we make.

I think it is the sweetest idea and am soooooo glad to promote his blog.  I know I am going to tell my granddaughter about it so she can participate.

I used AJ The Race Car Driver on my card and of course I colored him with my copics. Added a bit of stickles to his car body and the white squares on the flag. I glazed the headlights and tires to give them shine. I wanted to keep in the checkered theme so I added a checked DP and some buttons. Generated a sentiment on my computer and away he is a racing!!!!!!

I hope you get your children their crayons, paper and such and see what they can come up with and send them all over to Morgan's blog. I am certain what ever they Kreate will be STUPENDOUS!!!
