Fishing!

I colored this image in late October and at that time my hubby said it looked too much like it should be for Father's Day so I put it away. Well Mo of Mo's Digital Pencil is having a challenge right now and the theme is wood or would.  I thought long and hard about posting this one since it looks so much like one of the DT's cards.  I thought what the heck in my heart I know it was sitting here and so I am going to do it!

I colored my image with copics and the glazed a few parts to look like either metal or glass. I took my chalks to the water and the edges of the image to give a weathered look.  I added a fishing lure to the top to match the image and my DP and I was finished. I didn't want to overdue to take away from the simple beauty of the image.

Mo is also looking for a guest desinger for the month of March.  To be in the running for this you have to complete all 4 challenges in the month of February.  Now this alone will be a challenge since I will be on vacation for the last challenge and on an island myself.  I also had to convince my husband that it was important that I make a card in the middle of my vacation and that I have to bring some supplies with me on our vacation.  He has agreed to let me make ONE project and only ONE.  So we will see if I can find the essentials I need to complete the challenge while still basking in the sun.

Surprise Post

I have had my 7 year old Granddaughter with me all weekend and when she wanted to make a card for her Daddy's birthday which is today of course I oblidged.  I told her she could pick any image she wanted. I sat her in front of my computer and she studied and studied until she picked! Gumble by Alison at Stretch N Bubbles.  I printed it out for her and gave her my old markers and away she went. I told her this was her creation and I would help with the cutting but she would be the decision maker. After she colored I gave her paper and told her she had to pick what she wanted to use. It was like picking candy for her. She then saw me embossing and wanted to do that too. So she had to decide which one of those she was to use.  After all of those things I told her it was also her decision what she wanter her little guy to say. She came up with the sentiment all by herself! What wonderful handwriting she also has for a 7 year old.  After all of that of course she told me where to put everything and had to have a bow so to the ribbons she went.  All and all I think she did a stunning job!!! And with out further ado, here is Emily's lovely KREATION!!

So what do you all think about her little MONSTER?

Love of My Life!

Wow another week has flown by and once again it is time for me to show my project for Sew Many Cards. I know, I know, red dolphins!!! But it is my project and my imagination and I saw red dolphins!!!! Maybe I need a doctor!!!! The challenge this week is to use the colors red, black and silver. Our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe and they are offering the winner 3 stamp sets or individuals stamps of their choice.  Here is a little bit about Regina the owner!

Hello my name is Regina Easter. I have 4 wonderful children and an awesome supportive husband. I have for as long as I can remember loved all the aspects of creating things with paper and drawing. So it was only fitting that I decided to open up The Cutting Cafe' and I am loving every bit of this new venture. The Cutting Cafe' offers affordable Printable Stamps and Cutting Files. The Cutting Files which are basically just like templates are files that you Print out using your home printer, Cut, Assemble and then Embellish.....Very Easy.....The Cutting Files also come in the format where you can cut out the files using some of the latest Machine Cutters like the Pazzles Inspiration, Bosskut Gazelle and Cricut (with Scal software). The Printable Stamps are just that, images that are sent to you through email that you print out using your home printer. After the images are printed out, you can just color them in like you would any other stamped imaged...One great thing about the Printable Stamps and Cutting Files is that you no longer have to worry about finding space to store all of your stamps....You can keep them all in a folder in your computer and use over and over again.

I have used you're the love of my life on my project.  I paper peiced the heart to add color. All I had to do was size and cut. Easy peasy!!!

I colored my mother and child with copics and then added stickles to give them a bit of sparkle. Glazed the eyes and patches. The waves have some silver leafing on them. I cut my 3 hearts out, stickled and distressed a few portions of my project to add depth . A bow was added and there she is. You're the love of my life!

Now pop on over to the Sew Many Cards Challenge Blog and show me what you got I know if will be MARVELOUS!

Shoes, Shoes and More Shoes !!!!!!!

I will share with all of you today an obsession of mine, SHOES!!! Now I do not mean a few pairs in my closet or the desire to buy a few pairs. I mean Imelda Marcos obsession!!!
My husband had to put a cease to my buying because I have so many pairs in my closet.  I even have some that are still in boxes and have never been worn!!!!  No I will not go to shoes anonomys for this addiction, but when I saw this stamp at this weeks sponsor of SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY , I had to have it!! Our sponsor for this weeks wondrous images are those of The Stamping Boutique!!!  3 digi's of the winners choice!!!

Now of course for every sketch blog there has to be a sketch and I have the SWEETest confectionery from our very own temptress Arlana Patten.

It makes for a most Yummy layout!!! Just like SWEET candy!

I colored my shopper with my copics and then added some crystal gems and stickles to make her sparkle. I know that is the feeling I get when I shop! I also took a gold pen and added to her crown and the sparkles around it! After all she is Queen for the day!!! The designer of this image is Jennifer Latte hence the cup of Latte in the corner.  I also put her shoe image on my Kreation along with a shear ribbon. The shoes and hanbag ( another on my obsessions, hubbys fault on that one!) are glazed.

Remember to visit all of my Design Team sisters blogs and leave them some LOVE! I have seen all of their delicious Kreations and well worth the jump!!!! They are all listed on the side bar of the SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY challenge blog!

Never Forget!

Hello to everyone out there in blogland! This post comes directly from my heart. It is my first post from the new releases for the month at KLM Digital Designs. As promised I will be showcasing one of the new releases every Tuesday on my blog. This image is called Patriotic Snowman and comes with a verse that I chose not to use on my design. Instead I decided to honor all the men and women that give their time, effort and sometimes their lives to continue to fight for our Freedom. It is easy in the summer when we have all the parades and festivals going on but in the dead of Winter sometimes it slips our mind. I can not let that happen. I had two of my four children in the Military fighting for our Country and am proud of it. Both were in the Navy and served on destroyers. My daughter for 8 years and my son for 5. Enough of my rambling, just a proud mom!

I colored my snowman with copics and then added stickles to give him that fresh snow sparkle. I also stickled some of the stars on the DP. I thought it would serve two purposes. First to look like snow flakes as well as give the added sparkle. I also glazed his hat. The sentiment was generated on the computer and reads those so famous words “ NEVER FORGET”
