I'm Just Waiting For A Rainbow.......

This is my last post as a DT member for Sew Many Cards. My term is over after this post. I wish all the best to the new DT and Angela. I had a wonderful time showcasing the lovely Sewn Together Creatures.

Hi Everyone, my name is Stitchy and I create under the name Stitchy Stamps...I have been creating digital images for designers for almost a year now and try to learn something new everyday...I started out in paint shop pro about 8 years ago and started making digital scrap kits...then I was introduced to the wonderful world of paper crafts and card designing...like I said, learning new everyday, the rest is history...I can't draw enough to keep me satisfied anymore lol...

Living in a small town in upstate New York, tucked away where cable doesn't even go...friends are far and few between...But being on the internet for the past 10 years, I have gathered quite a few from around the world...Just like I learn something new everyday, I also try to meet someone new every day too...

I have chose Tayla in a raincoat since around this neck of the woods at this time of the year we are getting tons of rain. Do you see the little friend swiming in her pocket? How much fun is that? I colored her with the following copic colors: B00, B12, Y21, Y15, 100, C5, C3, C7, R022, E97, R08, YR07, RV11, RV04, R22, R27, R29

Glossy accents on the slicker, umbrella, boots and a bit on the water. Yellow puffy paint gives her polka dotted boots. I followed a sketch this week from Totally Gorjuss. Buttons to coordinate were also added.

Certified Inspector.......

Hello it is time for another challenge from Sew Many Cards. This week we had to make an Easter project and use punches!!! We are also so please to have Wags N Whiskers as our sponsor. Here is a little bit about our sponsor.

For my project I chose to use Cami and the boy. The flower in the upper right hand corner was made with a scallop circle punch as well as all the circles. I wanted to keep the mood light on my card so I added the sweet little saying. I followed the sketch from the Pink Elephant. It was different and thought it was fitting.

I colored him in with copics and colors are as follows:

Spring Cleaning!!!

Once again it is time for the Sew Many Cards Challenge. This week we were to follow a sketch and make a card with the theme SPRING!!! I chose Eris in The Birdbath and Spring Cleaning!!!! After all how else does an elephant take a bath????

I colored Eris in with my copics and then glazed over the water to make it look wet. I added a few dew drops here and there. My sentiment was computer generated to stay within the theme and to match the image. I kind of thought the spin on words was kind of cute!!!! So he was doing his Spring Cleaning in the most unusual way!!!

Easter Is A Comin'

Easter is a Comin' this week at Sew Many Challenges so I decided to try my hand at weaving an Easter Basket. I used a tutorial for this lovely basket by Lena-Katrine and can be found on the Just Magnolia Challenge blog here. All and all I was pretty happy or should I say hoppy with the end result! I decorated it with some sparkle ribbon and the double loop MS punch.

I used Jovi on my project this week. You can buy Jovi at Sew Many Cards along with all the other Sewn Together Animals. I colored her in with my copics and the sprinkled just a touch of stickles to her patches. I also added a bit of glaze to her nose and her big blue eyes! She was then popped up and placed on a scalloped oval and hung from the basket. My basket is now empty and waiting for the Easter Bunny to fill it with copics!

I again colored this little guy in with my copics and then sprinkled all the flowers with different colored stickles. I love that they come in a variety of colors. A few dew drops, a computer generated sentiment and he is off wishing you a HOPPY EASTER!

Jake The Fuzzy Fly!

One of the sponsors for this weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges is KLM Digital Designs so you all will get an extra dose this week of of KLM on my blog. Some of the DT members got stamps to play with and I got Jake's Fuzzy Fly! I thought about what to make with him and then it came to me, I will make a note card. So off to my studio I went and did just that. I think I will send this to my hubby's wonderful Aunt and Uncle just because! For those of you who are not yet familiar with KLM Digital Designs let me tell you a little about them.

KLM Digi Stamps (KLM Designs) was started by a Mother & Daughter team. Kathryn (owner of KLM Digi Stamps) and Sue (Company’s artist) started designing digital stamps for their own creations. After much response & excitement to their designs they formed KLM Digi Stamps.

KLM carry’s a large selection of designs from clowns, which are the company’s signature design to digital sentiments. All images are delivered ZIP format. Each image file contains JPEG and PNG format files. Images can be resized, reversed and altered to your likings.

I colored Jake with my copics and then sprinkled him with ditress stickles. His wings and eyes were glazed over to give a shine. I cut him out and popped him up on top of card stock embossed with QuicKutz retro squares. Added a few brads and a computer generated sentiment and he will be Flying By To Say Hello!

Baking Up Birthday Wishes!

Happy Friday to you all. I hope the weather is getting nicer where you all live too. It has warmed up a bit here in Wisconsin. Today I am pleased to Bake Up Some Birthday Wishes with Sew Many Cards. I colored him with my copics and used male dominent colors in my card to keep in the masculine theme. In my house my hubby does 99% of all the cooking so this is right on the money! I glazed his rolling pin and the labels on his flour, sugar and his bright eyes! I put a tiny bit of stickles on his chef's hat, bowl and the top of the pie. I added the word CHEF and the chocolate chips on the cookies!

Swimmingly Good Day!

Hello All! I am on my way as you read this to Hilton Head!!!! Yippee!!!!! What the weather channel is telling me is they are going to have a bit of a warm up. Anything is an improvement from the weather in Wisconsin. Not only that but today I will get to meet in person my good friend Harriet. We are staying over night in Knoxville, TN and she lives but a stones throw from there so she is going to meet me and we are going to spend some time together tonight!!!! So you can see this will be a swimmingly good day for me, at least after the 12 hour drive!!!!

Not only do I get to have all that fun but I am able to show you my project from SEW MANY CARDS. Isn't she just adorable??? Angela is just so creative and is adding all the time to her little family of critters. Just take a peak at what she has, I am certain you will find a bunch to corral and bring on home!

Friends Forever!!!

This week at Sew Many Cards we are soooo lucky to have Tellen's Place Designs as our sponsor.

Tellen’s Place Designs is the home of Tellen Design images. These images are drawn by the owner, Terry’s, son. Terry thought it would be fun for her son to continue these images for her as he had done in 1999, when she first began selling her crafts at various venues. For this challenge we had to use the colors white pink and red.and a Valentine theme. I was given this sweet image from Tellen's to use and paired her up with Tayla the Tiger. T'Ellen lost her bankie and Tayla found it for her and was bringing it back. This made T'Ellen so very happy!!! They have become "FRIENDS FOREVER!"

I colored with my copics and added a bit of stickles to make them sparkle with the excitement! I also glazed T'Ellens glasses and Tayla's nose and eyes! The sentiment was computer generated! Love of My Life!

Wow another week has flown by and once again it is time for me to show my project for Sew Many Cards. I know, I know, red dolphins!!! But it is my project and my imagination and I saw red dolphins!!!! Maybe I need a doctor!!!! The challenge this week is to use the colors red, black and silver. Hello my name is Regina Easter. I have 4 wonderful children and an awesome supportive husband. I have for as long as I can remember loved all the aspects of creating things with paper and drawing. So it was only fitting that I decided to open up The Cutting Cafe' and I am loving every bit of this new venture. The Cutting Cafe' offers affordable Printable Stamps and Cutting Files. I have used you're the love of my life on my project. I paper peiced the heart to add color. All I had to do was size and cut. Easy peasy!!!

I colored my mother and child with copics and then added stickles to give them a bit of sparkle. Glazed the eyes and patches. The waves have some silver leafing on them. I cut my 3 hearts out, stickled and distressed a few portions of my project to add depth . A bow was added and there she is. You're the love of my life!

My card today was made with Duncan In An Egg. Isn't he just the cutest thing ever?

This image can be used for just about any occasion. Birth of a baby, Easter, Happy Hello, Thinking of You!! the possibilities are endless..............

I chose to dress him up today with a paper pieced egg with some of his rubber ducky friends. I glazed the egg to make it shine. I colored Duncan in with copics and then gave him some texture by spotting him up a bit with a darker copic. He has some stickles on the tips of his wings and his crown of feathers. I followed a sketch from Sketch Saturday for the layout. Embossed the background paper and added a bright yellow bow and his molted feathers and their he is saying his Happy Hello to all of the SEW MANY Followers!

Heart and Key!

Ok I have never entered a challenge at Split Coast Stampers even though I have been a member since I started blogging but when Angela from Sew Many Cards was hosting a sketch there this week I decided to give it a try. Now if you know me I can not just enter ONE challenge so at the end of this post you will see the others that I have entered with this card also. The sketch is # 264 and can be found here.

I used one of Angela's digi's on this card. You can find them at the Digital-Ink Co. Store. This one happened to be a freebie that was given out! Angela gives one out every Friday on the Sew Many Challenge Blog. I decided to paper piece my image together. Not a copic in sight! Remind me never to paper piece with this glitter paper again. I thought my eyes were bad before!!!!! Even with my glasses I was having a hard time seeing the lines to cut! I then made paper lace that I found on Norma's blog. You can find the tutorial right HERE. I wove my ribbon through it to give it a homey look and ended with a couple of silver heart buttons to match the paper and image.
