For my project I chose one of the newer stamps of a little boy playing soccer. Perfect for many occasions.  My thoughts on this card was he was out practicing to one day make the USA Soccer Team. I added the stripe on his shirt and colored his uniform to look like theirs.  Of course I used copics and then added just a bit of stickles to his hair.  Glossy accents was added to his uniform stripe, tennies and the soccer ball.  I tried a new background technique that I found on a tute from Chrissy Armstrong and you can find it HERE. I still have to work on it a bit!  The sentiment was computer generated and reads “ Shoot for the MOON, even if you miss, you still end up amoungst the STARS!”

This week at The Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge blog we are having an “ANYTHING GOES” challenge! The winner will get a $10.00 gift certificate to the shop and with 250 stamps I am certain will have no problem finding wonderful images of their liking. The first, second and third place winners will also get badges to proudly display on their blog and will be entered into a drawing for a Guest DT spot with our great DT just like Sarah and Doreen!

Now onto The Digi Doodle Challenge Blog to read all of the details which is the end of our hop and attach your ANYTHING GOES project!!! I know you all have one!  Easy Peasy!!!!!

Inner Tender.......

I hope everyone has had a marvelous weekend.  The weather here had been off and on with rain and we had some monsterous fog.  Could hardly see a foot in front of ourselves. Dangerous for driving, but it was a bit warmer and the forecast is looking nicer!

My card this morning is for the challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers! I won their challenge last week and was asked to be the Guest Designer this week.  The challenge was to use 4 DP's, 2 Ribbons, 2 Shapes and a Button.  Of course you have to also use a Sweet Pea image.

I used ©ching-chou kuik's Inner Tender. This is my first try at coloring a tiger.  I think she turned out pretty well.  I used my copics and then glossed both of their eyes and added a bit of stickles here and there.  I cut my shapes out with my cricut and just followed the bamboo that I stamped on my background DP.  The little white dots are Opal liquid pearls.  I added my ribbon and my metal button and here she is!

I hope you will join all the girls over at Sweet Pea Stampers and take the challenge.  Lynette of
Sweet Pea Stamps has graciously donated stamps as prizes each week.

One Language, One Color.........

WE made it again. It is Friday and that means another Fabulous Friday challenge at i{heart}copics on PCP. The challenge this week if you could guess from the picture above was MONOCHROMATIC! Use any image but stay in one color family with the exception of skin and hair. I chose G's and YG's to KREATE my presinus lady.

Everything on my Sweet Pea image©ching-chou kuik's Seeing Through was colored with copics and all were greens of course except for her skin and lips. I just could not put green lips on her. You can get all your copics like I do at i{heart}papers and at super prices too. I added a chalked background, stickles, glossy accents and some opal - liquid pearl dots to give her dimension. The sentiment was computer generated and reads " The EYES have one language everywhere". The floral scalloped edge was made with a MS punch. I put together a trillium flower by stacking 3 prima buds and nestling them onto my homemade crinkle colored seambinding ribbon. You can find the tute HERE. A word to the wise, the color dries a great deal lighter than it show when wet!

I hope you all will take the hop on OVER and join in on the fun! We would love to have you!

Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Oh My.......

I am certain that many of you have seen the TV show or Movie "SEX and THE CITY!" My favorite character has always been Carrie Bradshaw.  She always has the best fashion sense and those SHOES!!!!!!! I am addicted to them!!!  When I saw this new stamp at The Digi Doodle Shop, I had to use it for this weeks challenge at the Digi Doodle Shop's Best,
SPARKLE, GLITTER AND GLITZ!!!!!!

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration to help you out so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin! We also have 2 Guest DT's this month to spice things up a bit!

I colored my image with copics and then added a bit of stickles on my pink shoes and glossy accents on the black shoes. I tried hard to make them look just like a Manolo and a Christian Louboutin.  I added some prima flowers and sparkle ribbon and a sentiment generated on the computer that reads "you can deal with ANYTHING if you have the RIGHT shoes" and I think Carrie Bradshaw would even agree.
I hope you pop on over and join us for this EASY PEASY challenge.

Bravery..........

To celebrate Armed Forces Day/Week here in the USA and of course the Holidays to come I decided to try something a bit different with my Sweet Pea Stamp this week. I wanted to enter a couple of challenges that needed paper piecing and the thought never crossed my mind to paper piece on of these stamps until Sweet Pea Stampers had that as their challenge. This also fit perfectly into Flutter By Wednesday's since they also wanted paper piecing. Now my family is a Military family, my father was retired Navy, my daughter served on the USS John Young for 8 years and my son served on the USS Cole for 4 years. I am so very proud of all of them and know that our FREEDOM is not FREE! This is what brought me to making this kind of card.

I used my new Sweet Pea image called ©ching-chou kuiks Fly Butterfly. I paper pieced her dress with a scrap of paper I had and the two suns or moons behind her with another scrap I found. The rest I colored with my copics.  Her wings were given a dusting of stickles and then the red was colored on with ruby red liquid pearls.  The dots on her dress where also opal liquid pearls. She was cut out and popped up upon a background that I made with home made glimmermist in red and blue and punchenella as a screen.  The flowers were from the floral department at Hobby Lobby! I found  matching DP for the dress and used that as my main background. The sentiment reads" BRAVERY never goes out of  fashion" I thought it fit with the image and the theme!!! I hope you all liked my tribute to the wonderful Military and all the hard work they do every day. To them I say Thank You!

Well Behaved Women........

Hello and welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best! This week we are challenging everyone to use RIBBON on their project! Easy Peasy!!! Use it in any application that you please as long as we can see it somewhere on your KREATION!!!!

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration to help you out so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin! We also have 2 Guest DT's this month to spice things up a bit!

The winner this week will get to choose 3 digi's from our gracious sponsor

You can find them right here. Thank you so much we appreciate your sponsorship!

I used the 1920's vintage girl for my project this week and when you pick her up at The Digi Doodle Shop she comes with a sister from the 1900's.  You can see her on the challenge blog on my sister DT Coordinator's Harriet's wondrous card called "The Perfect Dress". I searched high and low for some clip art to accompany my girl and finally found a copy of a vintage ad for Loreal and decided it was perfect. It too was actually from 1920. I spritzed it with some gold home made glimmer mist and gave it some shine.  I colored my girl with copics and her bracelet, bodice of her dress and center of the flower in her hat are all micro mini beads.  Glossy accents hit her red pattent pumps and those firey red nails. I used some bright pink chalk to rouge up her cheeks and a fine red pen to give her fire engine red lips. To finish everything off I tied a large organza bow around my card and made two hat pins with beads colored with copics to match my color scheme.  The sentiment reads " WELL BEHAVED WOMEN RARELY MAKE HISTORY!"  These women changed history and started the long path to give us modern women what we have now. They are truly home to me. I thank them for not being well behaved!

So please hop on over and join in on this easy peasy challenge! Also do not forget to see what has been added to The Digi Doodle Shop.  Judy and her Mom have been working hard and have added new stamps certain to please again this week.

Everything Has Beauty......

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I am scraplifting an idea today from the wonderful Mag's blog.  When I saw her rendition of this card I just fell in love with it and decided to make my own version of it. I hope you all like it! Sorry about the picture, I finally got to take a picture outside and I have a funky shadow on it.

I have used the ©ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection sheet 14 that is sold at Sweet Pea Stamps. This set has 4 large and 4 small images.  All faces and flowers.  I colored with copics, background with chalk.  The centers of my flowers and the dragonfly are micro mini beads.  Stckles and glossy accents here and there.  I colored the bead stamens to match my color scheme with my copics.  My punched corner are punched with my paper shaper by EK success.  The flowers were from the bridal section of Hobby Lobby.

Serenity.......

Today is my hubby's 50th birthday and we are traveling to his family in Minnesota to celebrate both his b-day and Mother's Day so this post is scheduled. I hope it worked.  This week The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the challenge over at Card Patterns Weekly Sketch Blog. The sketch is a lovely one to work with and I enjoyed making my card.

I chose to use the lovely Serenity as my main focus.

I colored her with copics and the added some stickles to give her that sparkle. My gold gel pen gave her all the fairy dust around her.

My butterfly was stamped with a Hero Arts stamp and the colored with Pearlescent watercolors.  I popped it up and curled the wings. Behind it I placed some coordinating ribbon.  The hydragia punch going up the side of my card is by MS. I hope you will join me in the challenge.

The Fuel That Enable's........

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday on my blog and that can only mean one thing!!! i{heart}copics on PCP challenge. We were to make a Mother's Day card using a wonderful sketch. It seemed like my week for sketches, how nice to take some of the guess work out of it.  Jana has provided us with a beauty.

Now I flipped it a bit to fit my immage but it was a lovely sketch to work with.

The image I used is from ©ching-chou kuik's and called Aloha. You can get her at Sweet Pea Stamps. Now of course I colored her and her baby with my copics cuz i{heart}copics and I get them and my refils at a great price at i{heart}papers. I use tons of ink on these images but love coloring them.  I also love to add the stickles, they just call out for sparkle. The tiny white dots were made with liquid pearls in white opal. The jewels were something I picked up at Michaels.

The butterfly was a stamp that I had from a Stampin' Up set that I stamped two times and then colored and cut out. I popped up the top one and curled its wings and added some wire antena's to give it dimension. The sentiment on the front of the card reads" Mother's love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible....."  in the inside I also put a sentiment that reads "Mom you are a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness and being.  I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune."  I am giving this card to my wonderful Mother In Law whom I adore and thank God everyday for bringing into my life.

I hope you will join us in our salute to Mom and for all of you out there celebrating this weekend, have a wonderful day!!!!

Little Buckaroo...

Hello all, I hope your week is going weel. This week at Digi Doodle Shop's Best we are following a SKETCH!!! We all love a sketch. It is a week for a rest. Just let the sketch do the work.

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration to help you out so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin!  The winner will get their choice of any stamp in the wonderful Digi Doodle Shop and I tell you it seems like Judy and her Mom are adding new ones every day or two so you just never know what you will find.

I made a promise that I would start making some more masculine cards so this week I used one of the newer stamps of a young boy on a hobby horse. Now if you wanted a girl they have that too. I think it would make a great Birthday Card! When I was a small child my Grandpa was a carpenter and made me one of these horses and it looked just like this one so I colored it to look just like that.  I hope you like it?  I used my copics and then highlighted many parts with glossy accents to give it a laquered look. I could not resist on puting a touch of sparkle on so just a bit of stickles were added to his hair and bandana. I added a medal star and star brad to finish off and he was ready to ride or rock!!!!  I thought he was soooo cute and totally reminded me of my Grandson Kyle.  Now you know I can say that about almost any childs image since I have 13 and they all look so different but he really does.

I hope you will join us in our SKETCHY challenge, we would love to have you!!!
