Santa Is Coming!!!

Here is my first card as a DT for Digital Ink. The cutest little Teddy is by Stamping Dragon Designs. This little guy is Teddy with a scarf jazzed up for Christmas. You can purchase Stamping Dragon Stamps at Digital-Ink Co. Judy has some talented artists over there and great prices too!!!!! This image made me think that he was looking for a home and all I could think of was Santa delivering him to some little boy or girl on Christmas. Of course what song came to my head but Santa Clause is coming to town. I guess that is what happens when you have as many pre-school grandchildren as I do. All I sing are children's Christmas songs.I love singing with them anyway. Getting them ready for our Christmas Eve Christmas caroling to the neighbors houses. Well this was my first try at making an easel card and I must say I think it turned out pretty well. I used copics and chalk to color him in, glazed his nose and paws to give them a shine. Added a bit of flocking to his fur cap and a bit of ribbon and brads to compliment the circles and here it is. The outside sentiment states Santa Clause is coming to town and the inside says "and he is bringing me with!" I hope you all saw the announcement for the next challenge at the Digital Ink Co. Blog . It all starts on November 30th. It will be great fun and meet the new DT team. There will be a freebie image available so you will be able to participate even if you do not have any Digital-Ink Images. There will be a special prize from our 1st time sponsor Cosmo Cricket. In this challenge you will need to create any paper craft (using at least one Digital-Ink stamp) and use a line or theme of any Christmas song. We have you covered for the stamps, all we need is your imagination for the rest! We Got Christmas All Wrapped Up!!!!!! Hop on over and join the fun!

Pucker Up Prince Charming!!!!

This is a new image I got from Stretch N' Bubbles. It was a freebie and I had to make a card from it. It was so darling. All I could think of was this girl thinking as she was getting ready to kiss this frog was "are you sure you're a prince?" Well I have kissed a lot of frogs in my days before I found my prince. I hope this one if good for her. Ahhhh New Love!!!!!! Here is another image from the same artist that I put in the inside. I just haven't decided yet what I want to say along with it. Any suggestions???? Challenges: Simon Says Challenge Winter Love

Must Fatten Him Up!!!!

I can hear Mrs. Santa saying that as she places a platter full of goodies out for Santa. I don't quite know what accent she is speaking in but it is in a strong accent in my mind. I love how her eyeballs are so big yet her spectacles are so little!!!! Maybe her eyes are bigger than his stomach!!!! Who knows I just thought she was cute as heck!!!! She is colored with copics and glazed here and there. I didn't have any polka dotted card stock so out came my white pen and made my own. It did the trick. The more I look at her the more she reminds me of my Grandma Ella. She had a strong German accent. Maybe that is where I am getting the accent from. Challenges: Stamp With Fun Christmas! Sparkle Creations Christmas! Charisma Cardz Anything Christmas! Colour Create Red, Green and White. 365 Cards Red and Green. Cupcake Craft Challenge Red and Green. 2 red Bananas Christmas or Winter Card. Pollycraft Christmas Theme. Hand Full of Stamps No Plain Jane Ribbon. Creative Card Crew Christmas!

This Has To Be My Fairy Godmother!

Ever have those days when nothing goes right??? Well I don't think I share a fairy godmother with Cinderella. I never get the glass slipper of get to go to the ball. Although I have met my prince charming!!!! At least his is most of the time!!!!!!!! I think this is my Fairy Godmother. She needs some duct tape for her magic wand....... I colored her with copics and glittered up her wings. First time using spacers in my flowers and I have to say I like the way they look. Thanks to all of the bloggers I got that idea from. I turned the phrase from of course Cinderella instead of Bippity Boppity Boo I changed the last part to WHOOPS!!! I named her Myrtle. No wonder I can't loose that weight she promised me I would. Challenges: The Pink Elephant Your favorite coloring medium. Mine of course is copics and chalk. Paper Cutz Anything Goes.

Our Little Squirt

OK as most know I have 13 grand babies and 7 of those are boys. Since I normally tend to go towards the pretty little cards I have made a mental note to try to make a few for the more rough and ready group too. Here is one I made for just that!!!! It is a birthday card that I call Our Little Squirt!! It has two of my grandsons favorites firemen and of course dinosaurs (you should see the boys room we have in our house) all decorated in them. Whenever one of our boys sleeps over night they think we made the room specially for them and it is there room. OK we have a Princess room too for the girls. 4 bedroom house for just my hubby and me. Pretty crazy!!!!!! Now getting back to my card. I wanted to keep it pretty simple in bright colors. No glitter on this one, just some glazing and buttons. I decided this fit perfectly into this weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday since there theme this week is Snips, Snails & Puppy Dog Tails! A card for a young boy. Also Little Red Wagon Buttons, buttons. Thanks for taking a look.

OK I Fell Under The Spell........

Not really but I did win this cute little image at Splendid Stamping With The Greeting Farm so I had to make a card with it. I will admit I did rent twilight and I will probably rent new moon once it is available. My daughter does have the book sitting on her coffee table and it is tempting to read, but then the movie will be disapointing to me so I will wait. Anyway her is my interpritaion of Edward standing in front of the new moon. I used Stampscapes as my background stamps and then used a quote from the book in the inside of my card and placed it in a moon.

Ready for The Tree Tilda

Last one for today I promise!!!! I told you I was busy making cards this weekend. I think this stamp is the glitter Tilda and you can find it at Magnolia-Licious. I am disappointed the way the flower is showing up on the picture. In real life it does have a bit of variation in the color. Anyway Tilda is holding her gold colored garland and ready to get decorating her house, tree, banister, mantle, dog or whatever she can get her little hands on!!!!!!!! I just found out that the challenge for Magnolia Down Under is Christmas so I will enter my little Tilda in this challenge. First time in this challenge as well as Everybody-Art-Challenge. Enjoy!!!

Christmas Pixie

While searching for the dreaming pixie of course I found a whole sleuth of Pixies and what girl doesn't like pixies and fairies. After all we are all still little girls at heart. Heck I still watch Tinker Bell on the Disney Channel. Of course I have to with my granddaughters (at least that is what I tell people)!!!!!! Traditional coloring on this one but don't you just dig her long eye lashes. Oh to have lashes like that. I guess I will have to go buy myself some. Since I have already told you how much I love Pixies and Fairies I have entered her into the challenge at Creative Card Crew favorite things. I hope you like her as much as I do!!!!

Dreaming of a White Christmas

I was busy this weekend working on cards and fell in love with this pixie. I saw it on another blog and had to hunt it down. She just looks so sweet and made it into a Dreaming of a White Christmas card. She was just begging to be pastel so no red and green for her. I also am entering her in the Etsy Inspired Challenge. If you look at the picture of the item I picked the colors top side left are just what the doctor ordered. I hope you agree. I also entered her in a few other challenges, All Sorts Challenge Blog Christmas Song. Whimsy Stamp Challenge show your Christmas card. Papertake Weekly Challenge Christmas Crackers - show us your Christmas Cards. Ildi's Co's Creative Challenges Inspiration From A Christmas Song!

Thinking of you

Another challenge at Simon Says Challenge. This week it is a Thinking of You challenge. My card was colored with copics and glittered a bit for sparkle. I used a corner punch I had in my stash. Stitched a bit and a purple ribbon and ended up with a pretty simple yet meaningful card. I like to keep these on hand for those times when you just happen to need one.

A Digi Christmas Holly!!!

I am using another Mo's image which you can get here. I think she is beautiful!!!! I am entering two challenges with this one. The first is at Stamp with fun. The theme is Christmas. The second challenge is Cupcake Craft Challenges , the theme there is the use of a digi stamp. Using this lovely image is per say killing two birds with one stone. I colored her with chalks this time. I thought the softness was needed. I only used copics as highlights. The ruffles on her dress and poinsettia has glitter on it and the snow globe is glazed to appear like glass. The holly berries are liquid pearls and I also added some red dew drops on the corners and crystal beads in the center of the flower for some more sparkle. I really liked the way she turned out!!!

Glitter, Glitter, Sparkle Fairy Tabia

Another image from Mo. I love her images!!!!!! The challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday was Glitter Me Silly and the challenge at Creative Inspirations was sparkle. Well you can not do this image with out ton's of glitter to sparkle her up! Not that this was not difficult for me since I put glitter on almost everything!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love that sparkle. I colored her mostly with chalk this time, gave her that soft look, accented only with copics. A lot of glitter all over her wings, bubbles and stars, a few jewels on the corners and in the middle of the flower. a organza ribbon and a small flower and she was ready to make all your dreams come true. I have to keep her out of my granddaughters sight or she will be gone in a second.

Just You and Me

When I saw this wonderful image by Mo I just fell in love with it. I then saw the Etsy Inspired Challenge for this week and after looking at the different items to get inspired by I saw the sachets and the nostalgia of them just meshed and here is what I came up with. I asked my husband what sentiment should I put on it and he said after all of those years together "Just You and Me" was fitting so as a tribute to him, that is what it says. I could only hope we make it together that long!!!!! I colored the image with copics and chalk and glazed a few parts, the shoes and purse. Flower soft on the bouquet of flowers and the flowers on her hat. I didn't have a flower or ribbon to match so I also colored them with my copics. Martha Stewart double loops punch and this is what I ended up with. I hope you like it as much as I do.
