Dream!!!

Just another quick one that I made. I went on the SNR group for Michelle Perkette to post my card from yesterday and they were having a quick challenge and you all know how I love challenges so I thought I would whip something up QUICK. When I say quick I mean it! I litteraly had little time to get it done and posted. I didn't win but had fun doing it! It was a freebie and here it is!

Probably the shortest post I ever did!!!

Believe!!!!!

The word Believe happens to be part of my MANTRA! Actually the whole thing is
"BELEIVE IN YOURSELF"
I guess I just felt if I didn't then how could I expect anyone else to.  When I decided to purchase one of Michelle Perkett's images I looked and fell in like with all of them but this one spoke to me. So this is the one that my pocket book opened up to.

I colored her with my copics and blended like crazy especially her hair. I wanted that ocean look. I then took my new scribble paints and painted all her pearls white. I wanted some more dimension so I started painting some more on the scales of her body! Now I followed the sketch from Michelles blog and it asked for three embellishments on the top left so I added the star fish to compliment the image. Those along with parts of the lovely mermaid got a nice dusting of stickles. The oval behind her was embossed with QuickKutz polka dots.  I added a couple of gems here and there and a sheer bow and here she is.  I think she is a beauty!!!

My card today was made with Duncan In An Egg. Isn't he just the cutest thing ever?

This image can be used for just about any occasion. Birth of a baby, Easter, Happy Hello, Thinking of You!! the possibilities are endless..............

I chose to dress him up today with a paper pieced egg with some of his rubber ducky friends. I glazed the egg to make it shine.  I colored Duncan in with copics and then gave him some texture by spotting him up a bit with a darker copic. He has some stickles on the tips of his wings and his crown of feathers. I followed a sketch from Sketch Saturday for the layout. Embossed the background paper and added a bright yellow bow and his molted feathers and their he is saying his Happy Hello to all of the SEW MANY Followers!

Bearable

Well This was my post for the 3rd day of the relay. Unfortunately they ended the relay because of communication issues but I had it finished so you all get to see it anyway. It was right up my alley since I love my teddy bears. His name is Toby.

I used the Sketch from The Fresh Batch for the layout. I colored him with my copics, added my stickles to give hime sparkle and then tried something new today. My buddy Alison keeps talking about the 3D scribble paints so I ran out and bought some. The polka dots on his diaper are courtesy of those paints.  They are kind of cool. I just have to get the hang of them and get control of how much comes out at a time. I have 6 bottles to play with so I will be a playin! I continued the dot theme with my DP, bow and even in my buttons.  The sentiment was generated on my PC. Here is a closer look at my little buddy! Doesn't he look happy?

The Sweet Award

Wow! I received this fun award from my DT sister from The Digital-Ink Co. Tammy. She has been a regular posting on my blog and it's been really fun getting to know her.

As part of the award, I am supposed to list 10 things that I am thankful for:
1: I am thankful for my husband Michael's support, if it wasn't for him I could not do any of this.
2. My Family, my 5 children and their significant others and my 13 grandchildren
3. The friends I have made on this crazy medium we all live on
4. All the people that put their trust in me and chose me to be on their DT's
5. For my health.
6. The fact that in 3 weeks I will be on vacation and in the warmth
7. In 3 weeks I will get the chance to meet not only 1 but maybe 2 of my online friends
8. My computer, with out it I would go mad!
9. All the creative bloggers out there that inspire and teach me new things every day
10. I am thankful for the little bit of talent that God has bestowed upon me to keep KREATING my art

The rules of the award say that you have to:

1) Copy and Paste the award on your blog.
2) List who gave you the award and link to her blog.
3) List 10 things that make you happy.
4) Pass the award onto other bloggers and visit their blog to let them know!

I am going to pass this on to:

Always

How I long to be this much in love when Michael and I are this age. That is what I was thinking the whole time I was coloring this beautiful stamp from this weeks sponsor for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Yes it is non other than the talented Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil Too.

I know most of you have seen her images all over but if this is the first time,  please take a moment and check all of the wonderful artwork this woman has to offer. You will be amazed that one person could be so talented. We are lucky to be able to offer a $10.00 gift code to the winner of this weeks challenge.

Once again we have a lovely sketch by our own Arlana to follow. It really is beautifull when finished and gives off a floral feeling.

I colored my image called Young Love with copics and my pallet was chosen by the couple of birds sitting on the park bench. I looked up what love birds looked like and tried to emulate the colors through out my image.  Also while I was coloring I thought of my Grandparents and remembered how they dressed. How my Grandma never really matched and wore those God awful orthopedic shoes.  Anywho, that was the inspiration and all and all I was quite please with the finished product.  To keep with the old look I put some ecru lace around my image instead of a paper ruffle.  I liked the touch it gave.  The sentiment also had meaning for me. The word Always was something that my Mom and Dad always signed everything they sent to each other with. It was their song. "I'll be loving you, ALWAYS"  So this whole Kreation became quite sentimental to me. So I hope to see you over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and then you can share your kreation and story with me.

Charllotte

Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wiping my forehead off!!!! I made it through day 2 and with plenty of time to spare!!!! I am like the little engine that could. I think I can, I think I can. Introducing Charlotte! Day 2 relay card.

I think she is such a doll! I love her retro look.  Her lashes are to die for all posing like a rock star!!! As soon as I saw her I put my thinking cap on and somewhere in a dream I saw flower power and YOU ROCK so I got up this morning and put it to it and this is what my two little hands KREATED!

First of all I searched for a layout and decided on a sketch from There She Goes! How fitting!!!! I of course used my copics and then touched her up with my stickles, check out her glittery eye shadow. Does that ROCK or what????  Glazed her funky head band and belt along with her kickin patten leather pink shoes and she was ready to Rock!!!! On to Day 3. I have got the image and will love working with this one.

A Cup of Cappuccino

Now everyone defines Love in a different way but my gal here says it is a cup of cappuccino. I do not drink coffee and am not suppose to have caffiene (migraines) but I CAN NOT live with out my cup of cap each morning. My one indulgent a day. OK there are a few more, but when I saw this cute image by Terry from Tellens Place's son ( do you know he is the artist of all those cute images?) I just had to use it for this weeks challenge.  I wish I looked that good in the morning! Me , SCAREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought she was just a hoot and the sentiment is what she said to me.  I sometimes let the image talk to me. Does that make me sound CRAZY? I colored her with my copics and followed the sketch that was provided at Tellens Place.  Added a bit of stickles to give her that sparkle every woman has when she wakes up.  I then hand wrote DIVA on her cup and glazed it so it looked ceramic. Added a few dew drops and here it is.

Under The Sea

Wow I can not believe I am doing this but I am going to try!
One down and 5 more to go! The Splendid Stamping With The Greeting Farm is hosting a contest called the CHA Relay. Here is the scoop. On Monday they posted a free digi and you had until 6 PM to post your creation in their Gallery and if you do they will send the next digi and so on and so on for the week. So here is Day 1. Mer Ian.  I think he is adorable.

Now one of my favorite blogs to visit is Randi's The Dark Mermaid. If you have a moment you should take a look at it! She is amazing! I study her art like crazy and she leaves all kinds of great tutes on coloring and answers questions all the time on how she does things.  This card is paying HOMAGE to Randi. I am going to leave a comment for her and hope she will like it!

I colored him with my copics and blended like crazy. Added a few stickled here and there to make him glisten.  I cut the seashells and sea weed out on my cricut and gave them a hit of color with different ink pads and crinkled the edges to give them depth. I chalked the edges of my DP with a deep blue. Added a couple of dew drops and mesh and he was finished.

Let Them Eat Jam!!!

The New Design Team with a new DT coordinator Harriet Hensley (a wonderful designer) at The Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog  has been biting at the bit and is raring to go. This is the first challenge of the new year with the brand spankin' new Design Team.  They are all listed at my side bar so please visit all of there blogs and give them some well deserved praise!

For our first challenge the guidelines are "Pet and Babies Birthdays" we had to make a creation and use the 4 primary colors somewhere in our project along with one neutral color. When I found out I was assigned to Stitchy Stamps I was so excited because I had seen this adorable stamp and had an idea in my mind of what I could do with it so off I went. This stamp is called Jammin and normally sells for $3.00 but during the month of January it is on sale for $2.25 at the Digital-Ink Co. Store. I colored my little guy in with copics and the made my sentiment on my computer. I crossed off the cake so it changed to "Let Them Eat Jam" I then took stickles and added them to wherever the jam was on the image and a couple of finger prints on both sentiments. This card is a shadowbox frame and the tute can be found here. I chalked the edges of the frame a bit to give it depth and glazed a few parts of the image to make them shine.

Do you like the touch of my spoonful of jam?  I just couldn't resist and it is the best jam around. Here is a close up of the wonderful digi! He kind of reminds me of my Grandson when he was little. All dressed up in his sailor suit just like his Dady's uniform. Just not quite as pudgy!!!!

We have a wonderful prize package for this challenge. The great people at Paper Wishes by Hot Off The Press (http://www.paperwishes.com/) are our sponsors along with the creators of the wonderful DIGITAL-Ink Co. making the prize package's value over $75.00 in prizes. WOW!!!! I wish I could enter!!!!!!! We always love to see when Digital-ink Co. stamps are used in our challenges, so if you use one of our stamps, you’ll automatically be entered into the drawing twice!! Is that not cool?

Now get your paper, pens, copics, pencils, scissor, crayons or whatever you might use and show us what you got. Here is the link Digital-Ink Co Challenge Blog. As you can see there are some fabulous prizes to be won, and to qualify for these prizes, you must post the image of the prizes on your blog/website with a link to our blog, be a follower (if you are not already), and of course sign the “Mister Linky”, so that we can stop by and leave you lots of love. I know what you have will be magnificent!!!

Masquerade!

Here is a sweet thing that will be available from Lil Diva Stamps on Wednesday! It will be unvailed along with all of the other new creations from all of the creators at The Digital-Ink Co.'s Thank God It's Wednesday! All new releases for the store are showcased on Wednesday every week and I am certain you will find many you will love just like our beauty!

I used a sketch from Friday Sketchers to Kreate my layout.  I thought it was great until I chose my paper. Big mistake!!!! It is a tissue paper that I had and loved but the hardest thing to work with and even harder to photograph! My sweet girl was colored with copics and then given a bit of stickles to make her sparkle. I added a few flowers, bows and a stick pin with pearls and she is ready for the Masque!

Remember this lovely lady by Lil Diva Stamps and all of the new creations will be released on Wednesday the 27th at the Digital-Ink Co. Also join us for the first challenge of the year starting tomorrow at the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog.  The Design Team has really outdone themselves with some great inspiration just for you! Hope to see you there!
