From The Heart.......

Welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best!  This week our challenge is Punch or Cut Me!!!!! You can use any punches or die cuts from any type machine!!!! I know you use these on your projects every day so there is NO reason not to join in!

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin! We are sad to have to say goodbye to our Guest DT Melanie after this week.  She is a electrifying artist and it was a pure pleasure having her as part of the team.

For my card this week I went vintage and chose the vintage school bench.  Funny thing is my grade school had these yet when I started there.  I colored it with copics and then highlighted a few areas with glossy accents.  I tried something new for me this week. I used Distress Inks for the very first time.  I had fun with them but still have to practice a bit!   I also got a present from my hubby and I got to use that also on this card. He bought me a Cuttlebug so I used it to cut my corners and my sentiment out. Much easier than using the first generation Sizzix!!!!!  My sentiment was computer generated and reads" The best teachers teach from the heart; and not from a book."  I find that to be oh so true!!!

So won't you pop on over and join us and try your hand at the challenge. Don't forget to check out the Digi Doodle Shop. You will not beleive all the new stamps that have been added. If you do not keep checking back you will miss sooooooo much!!!  The winner of the challenge will get a $10.00 gift certificate to use at the shop!

Lilly Pad.........

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Here in my neck of the woods we had terrible rains on Thursday and Friday and some awful flooding.  My daughter had a foot of water in her basement. We had a river in our back yard. Still not dried out!!!!!

I have for you today my newest KREATION from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I really loved how she turned out!

I used ©ching-chou kuik- Spring Night, sheet 18, plate 53.  I colored her with copics and then cut her out with my oval cutter from Creative Memories.  The flower border was cut with a MS punch.  I used a tute I found to make the flowers out of crepe paper. I then put them on some home made crinkle bias tape ribbon. Sprinkles of stickles, a bit of glossy accents, a chalked background and a few gems finish her off.  I hope you enjoy!

Copics:
BV00, V12, V15
Y21, Y26, Y28
YG03, YG09, YG95, YG97
E33, E37, E25
E09, E19, E17, E97

Best Wishes....

It's Friday so that can only mean one thing!! Welcome to another Fabulous Friday on my blog and i{heart}copics on PCP challenge.  This week our challenge is to use our copics and make a WEDDING card. Tis the season for all of those marvelous weddings and boy am I in the mood. I just finished watching Bethaney get married on TV.

I chose my stamp "Wedding Cake" from the Digi Doodle Shop. You really need to check out all the wonderful digi's Judy has in the shop.  No matter what your taste is you are certain to find something. I colored it with my copics that like myself you can get at great prices at i{heart}papers along with tons of other card making needs. I then added just a touch of stickles and glossy accents and pain- stakingly cut the cake out and popped it up on foam tape to give it some depth. The card base was made with a piece of printed vellum over a soft pink card-stock.  A organdy ribbon was tied over a  piece of white CS punched with a  MS double looped punch.  I also added two hat pins that I made and pearls in each corner to finish my card off. Now I just need to find someone who is getting married to give it to.
Copics:
Y21, Y26, RV00, R81, R85, G12, G24
B0000, C1, C00, C5, C7

I hope you will all pop on over and give this challenge a try too!

My Left Foot......

Welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best!  This week our challenge is ANYTHING, I MEAN ANYTHING GOES! I know that this one is your favorite kind. Anything your heart desires will fit!

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin!

I used a stamp today called "My Left Foot".  When I saw it I immediately thought of my Granddaughter and how she is always having issues with getting her shoes on correct .  You can get this little lovely at  The Digi Doodle Shop.  I tried something I have not done in ages on this one.  I colored her with my watercolor pencils.  Can you believe it??????  I then added just a touch of stickles to her dress, headband and on my Prima flowers. Glossy accents were also touched on her shoes to make them look like patent leather. The DP is from my stash, had all of these forever and the sentiment was computer generated.

So won't you pop on over and join us and try your hand at the challenge. Don't forget to check out the Digi Doodle Shop. You will not beleive all the new stamps that have been added. If you do not keep checking back you will miss sooooooo much!!! Judy has also added a Forumn so check it out. The winner of the challenge will get a $10.00 gift certificate to use at the shop!

Hex Yewglow

When checking out the blogs of my new Sweet Pea DT sisters I came across on Alex's blog a place where you could find your fairy name. I thought I would give it a try since I adore fairies.  When I put my name in it it came up with this:

Your fairy is called Hex Yewglow
She is a weird enchantress.
She lives in places hexed and tainted by black magic.
She is only seen in the light of a full moon.
She wears black feathers and rose petals. She has russet-coloured wings like a brightly coloured butterfly.

So I decided to look through my Sweet Pea Stamps to create Hex Yewglow and this is what I came up with!

I used ©ching chou kuik's Kimono Butterfly Mermaid as my image and changed her from a mermaid to part bird I guess by adding the black feathers to her tail.  I colored her with copics and added a bit of stickles and highlighted the moon with glossy accents.  My signature background was made with chalk.  I then completed the card with a few more feathers, some sweet roses and a couple of russet winged butterflies.  To create the spirals by the flowers I wraped black wire around a tiny paint brush.  A bow tied the project off. I think she turned out pretty much like my fairy name, what do you think?

Copics:
Moon: Y21, Y26, R81, R85
Cumber-bun:C1, C5, C7, C9
Dress: RV04, RV11, RV13, R81
Branch: YG95, YG97, YG99
Wings: C5, C7, C9, 100, R02, E95, E97, YR04

Blast Off.......

Yep we made it, it's Friday so that can only mean one thing!! Welcome to another Fabulous Friday on my blog and i{heart}copics on PCP challenge.  This week are making a project using our copics and three primary colors. Red, Yellow and Blue!!!!!  How simple to do!!!!

I chose to use one of the new Chicken Girl Designs for my project called Blast off. You can get these marvelous stamps at i{heart}papers along with so many of your crafting needs.  I even get my copics there!  I thought this little guy was just the cutest and I thought right away he would be great for a card for my Grandson who has just graduated from pre-school to Kindergarten.  With the primary colors my mind was made up so I added the words "To Kindergarten!" and I was ready to color.

I stayed true to my three colors except on my bear. I made him brown. A bit of stickles on the side of his space ship and on the puffs of smoke.  I also added glossy accents on the window he is looking out of.  A trio of ribbon and buttons in my primary colors finished the look. I think he will get a kick out of it!  What do you think?

Copics:
Y13, Y17, Y21
R22, R27, R29
B21, B29, B0000
E11, E33, E25
R02, C1

I hope you will all pop on over and give this challenge a try too!

Sail Towards His Light.......

Welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best!  This week our challenge is USE THOSE SCRAPS!!!! So very easy! I know if you are like me you have a ton of them.  Here is a challenge to KREATE and be GREEN at the same time! LOL

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin!

For my project I used one of the newer marina stamps called "Sail Away"  We have been spending quite a bit of time on the water lately and I have grown an appreciation for the masters these people who sail actually are. It is amazing how they are able to move their boats with out engines.

I used all bits of scraps and have no clue who the manufacturers of my DP's are.  The sky piece has just a hint of a dot on it and thought it worked well with the pieces that I cut into waves that has little bubbles on them.  I then highlighted the edges with blue chalk and put just a bit of Glistening Snow Writer on the tips to make them look like white caps.  The sun was a center piece from something I had cut out on my cricut a while back. I never throw anything out. Never know when you may be able to use it!!! I chalked around the edge and added a bit of stickles to give it shine! The sentiment was generated on my PC.

My sailboat was colored with copics :
C1, C5, E33, E25, E21,
 E19, Y15, G14, BG10

So won't you pop on over and join us and try your hand at the challenge. Don't forget to check out the Digi Doodle Shop. You will not beleive all the new stamps that have been added. Underwater Godess........

Welcome to another week of wonder from the Digi Doodle Shop's Best! I hope you had a very enjoyable week. Mine was full of exciting things. We were busy every minute of the day and night.  Hubby was on vacation last week.  Not a great deal of time for Kreating!!! This week our challenge is TEXTURE!!!! So very easy! Show us it anywhere on your project! There are so very many ways you can succeed with this challenge.

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin! I also want to say welcome to a new member of our DT Jona and our new Guest Designer Melanie.  I am certain they have lovely things in store for you.

I chose this week to work with a stamp that Joy made for me as a request. I love Mermaids.  Isn't she beautiful?  I colored her with copics and then added stickles to her hair and tail. To add texture I may have went a LITTLE overboard. I think this card weighs a pound!!! LOL!!!  I took a piece of photo paper and brayered over it with a Big & Juicy ink pad called Waterfall. I then put it in an embossing folder and embossed spots and dots on it.  The metalic looking foilage behind her is punchanella (the left over part after they punch out sequins) thanks again Randi! I took my heat gun to them so they melted a bit. I then glued on some sand and tiny little sea shells that I had collected on the beach at Hilton Head.  I popped up my Mermaid so she was laying on her new ocean floor.  The sentiment and ribbon was from my stash. My final touch was to place a few dew drops here and there to add a couple of bubbles in the water along with some glossy accents.  Now you know why it weighs soooo much!!!! I hope you enjoy!!!!

Copics:
Skin: E00, E02
Tail: BV00, V12, V15, BG13
Hair:BG10, BG11, BG13

From My Lovely Friend Sandra.....

More than anything else I do on here, the thing that means the very most to me and cherish the very most are all of the friends I have made.  I received this from one of those friends. Even though we live an ocean apart she has become a near and dear friend of mine. Thank you so very much Sandra for this award. It means the world to me that you thought of me to give it to!

There are of course some rules to follow.

* Thank the person who gave it to you.

* Tell seven things about yourself.

* Pass the award of to five other bloggers who you think are fantastic. (That is the hard bit, because everyone is fantastic)

Anyway here goes.

1.)  I love cheese! Good thing I live in Wisconsin!
2.) My favorite food is sauer kraut! I am half German!
3.) I like to roller skate!
4.) Never smoked in my life.
5.) Potato chips and dip are my favorite snack!
6.) I am a big movie buff.
7.) My favorite flowers are daisies!

I am going to pass this on to the entire Digi Doodle Shop's Best Design Team.

Sunflower........

Happy 4th of July to all my blogging buddies. I hope you all are out enjoying this wonderful weekend. We are going to go to our local parade this morning, BBQ and then go to the marina tonight and see the fireworks over Lake Michigan!!!!  I have spent soooooo much time the past few days out on the water on our boat it will be nice to be on the ground today.  Still not toooooo far from water though!

This is my first card that I have made officially as a member of the  Sweet Pea Creative Design Team.  I was so very pleased when Lynette e-mailed me and asked me to be a part of this group of amazingly talented women. I adore these stamps as you would know if you have followed my blog.  Please take time to look at their blogs.  They are listed on my side bar.  You will not be disappointed. This stamp is from ©ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection, sheet 14, plate #43.  I didn't start out with an Autumn color scheme but I did want to use my rust colored Sunflower instead of a yellow one so that is how it turned out!!! I do love Autumn anyway!!!! I will be giving this image away as blog candy to celebrate my news!!!

I colored my beauty with copics and then cut her out with a craft knife. That was a crazy idea in itself!!!! The circles behind her were distressed and then chalked to age them.  I added stickles on her hair and necklace as well as the flowers on the image and the centers of the flowers around her.  I also added them to the tops of each of the dew drops.  The flowers were just random flowers that I had collected over the years.  I also placed a fringed piece of ribbon across the middle and swirls in the corners.

I will also be entering this into the Sweet Pea Stampers challenge Earth, Wind and Fire this week.
