Well Wishes...

Hello everyone.  Boy these past few days have been HELL on me.  I have not had a moment to KREATE!!!!  Thank goodness they are almost over!  Please forgive me if I have not visited your blogs.  I will start again this next few days and will try to make up for it!!!

A friend of mine at work has had a knee replacement and I made this card for her!

I used a Lilly of the Valley stamp and colored it with copics.  Added some stickles of course and a bit of glossy accents.  Some ribbon to create a bow and some lace finished it off.  The ticket was a freebie and have no idea who created it!!! I hope you like.....

As a Christmas gift to Lynette, owner of Sweet Pea Stamps we are throwing this blog hop! We are so glad you have decided to join in the fun - today you will find many beautiful creations made by the Sweet Pea Stamps design team.

 *********************************************************************************

As our gift to you, our wonderful followers, visiters and Sweet Pea Stamps customers, one lucky person will win the ching chou kuik Fantasy Art collection Red Riding Hood sheet of stamps (Plate #65). Just leave comments along the way.

Each comment you leave will earn you an entry - so the more comments the better the chances! The drawing will take place on 12/20/2010.  Below you will find the list of stops - if you joined us somewhere along the way don't worry as it is a circular hop. Thanks again and Happy Holidays!

As I stated on my title I wanted to show Lynette how very much she is LOVED.  I used ChingChou Kuiks "One and Only Love" to convey that message.  You can get this beauty as a single stamp or with 3 others and 2 sentiments at SWEET PEA STAMPS!!  I thought it was the perfect stamp to show someone just how much you care about them.

I colored her with copics and my signature background with pastel chalks.  A dusting of stickles, an embossed background, a ribbon, pearls and flowers complete the look.

Lynette I hope you feel how treasured you are with my card to say Thank you and we love you!!!

Now your next stop in the hop is my Dear friend and the reason I started my lust of the Sweet Pea Stamps,  The Dazzling Dark Mermaid Randi.

Birthday Blessings....

I hope everyone is doing well and keeping up with all the hustle and bustle that comes with the Season.  I have a Birthday card to share today!!!  I have made a resolution to try to make a card for everyones special day and this is for my hubby's Uncle who has a birthday next week.

The image was a freebie that I found at Beccy's Place.  I thought it still gave us a hint of the season but not a complete Christmas look so I used it.  Colored with copics and sprinkled with stickles and just a hint of glossy accents.  The blue was done with distress ink and a sponge.  I kept this one pretty simple with just a piece of twine as my final accent!!!  It is for a man and I am not so into manly cards.  I guess I love all the frills.

I hope you like it!! Oh and I guess his Uncle too!

Water and Fire.....

Hello everyone!  I hope all are staying warm.  Today I am showcasing a new artist at SWEET PEA STAMPS.  Her name is Terrell Dorfeo. I love the comic nature of her stamps.  This beauty comes with another stamp and two sentiments.

When I saw this sweet mermaid her hair just kept screaming fire to me so I colored it to look like a great flame flowing from her head.  I know it seems weird to have fire in water but that is the beauty of Fantasy stamps, you can create whatever you want with them.  I wanted to keep this a cheerful card so I used mostly primary colors and just kept adding shapes and more color.  I hope you like!!!

Don't forget to check out the current challenge at "In A Sweet Pea Dream".   It is a great way to win some of these new stamps!!

Winter Storm.....

Last but not least of my Magnolia cards is this one I call Winter Storm.  I hope you have enjoyed my Tilda themed Christmas cards.  Each one has a special someone that it will be sent to, and I am on time.  I like to get my cards out in the beginning of December!!!  That way they can be enjoyed more than a day or two.

On this one Tilda colored with copics gets her self caught in a Winter swirl.  I added stickles to her wings and the trim of her clothes.  Her boots and the bottle in her basket got a coating of glossy accents. She was placed in the middle of double matted circles and two DP's.  Flowers adorn the upper corner and a bow of yarn in the lower.  I wasn't certain about using brown as an accent on this one but once finished she is one of my favorites.  I hope you agree.

Anyone For A Ride....

Only one more after this one.  I hope I didn't bore you to death with all these Magnolia cards.

Tilda was once again colored with copics and then glistened with some stickles, her fur had all been given a coating of fun flock and her boots are glossed with glossy accents.  Double matted and then placed under a double punched border that I laced my ribbon through. At first I was certain about the aqua and peach but I really like the brightness of the two together! What about you?

Guiding Light......

Only 3 more Magnolia Cards to showcase.  I hope you are not tired of them yet!!!

I colored my girl again with copics and cut her out and placed her on a double matted label Nestie. The green was also embossed.  A criss cross of ribbon and a couple of snowflakes and some evergreens finished her off.  She is the guiding light through life's forest!!!

Not So Traditional Colors.....

I really liked this DP I had found at Hobby Lobby and wanted to use it again so here is a not so traditional colored Christmas Card!

My Tilda was colored with copics and then cut out.  She got a bit of stickles added to her for sparkle and her boots got shine from some glossy accents.  I placed her on a double cut scalloped Nestie and backed her with a couple different DP's.  I added a seam binding and ribbon flower that I made in the corner and once again used that freebie ticket as a sentiment.  Although not your traditional colored card, I like the final outcome!  What do you think?

Sing His Praise........

My next card is another Magnolia Christmas card. I did warn you that I have quite a few to show.

This is one of those cards that grew on me as I put it together.  At first I wasn't a big fan of this stamp but colored her anyway. I cut her out and then started with my distress inks, first layer was Antique Linen but that just wasn't enough so I added Tea Dye on top of that.  I was so very pleased with the look.  I decided to go with the vintage look and pulled out some old looking DP and a page of music from an old hymnal.  The sheet music got the same inking treatment.  Layered on my card, some holly and a couple of gold bows finished it off.  I hope you think it turned out well too!

Santa Tilda...

My Brother in law has small children so his family will get this Santa Tilda!!!

As usual she was colored with copics, fun flock was put on her fur.  Glossy accents on her boots and the sleigh.  Stickles gives her the sparkle! I distressed the edges of my card stock on this one and used my DP as a sentiment.  Candy canes finished the corners.  I hope the kids like it!

Warmth and Love....

I have a friend that is always baking some kind of treasures so this Magnolia was perfect for her.

Tilda was colored with copics and then cut onto an oval.  I glossy accented her pan and shoes.  Stickles were added to her trim, hair-band and wings.  She was then double matted and put on top of two different DP's.  I punched some swirls and added some dew drops for depth.  Las but not least a bow in the corner.  The sentiment inside states " Sending you .....warmth and love this Christmas."

Snow.....balls.....

Here is my 3rd card with my friend Tilda!!!  One of my favorite past times in the snow. Throwing snowballs!!!

Tilda was colored with copics cut out and then placed on a holographic snowball!!!  I wanted it to look like the glisten of fresh snow.  I flocked her snowball and Glossy accented her boots, a bit of stickles also was added to give her sparkle.  The sentiment was a freebie I got at Create With TLC. Inside I also used one of her sentiments. It says "Enjoy the season, take it slow, make some time to play in the snow." I thought it was fitting!!! What do you think?

Ice Skating Anyone.....

It is a happy day in our household. Our fantastic Wisconsin Badger Football team won big time and are now Conference Champs and most likely on there way to the Rose Bowl on New Years Day!!! If you are interested in a creative video go to U-tube or Google and just type in Teach Me How To Buckey!!! A few UW students made this video and even the band director and the Chancellor of the University make an appearance. We even hear this song on the radio up here!

Here is number 2 in my Magnolia crunch of making my Christmas cards.  I wish I could skate, it is just so beautiful to see them gliding on the ice!  I know I would fall and break my . . .

Tilda was colored with copics and placed in the center of two ovals.  I glossy accented her boots and the ice below her.  Stickles were added to make her sparkle.  A bit of lace and some ribbon finished the look.  The ticket was a freebie I found. I do not know the artist!  I really liked the way this not so traditional colored card  turned out! I hope you do to!

Warm Holiday Wishes...

I have been feverishly working on finishing my Christmas cards.  I forgot that I had all of these darling Magnolia images from a swap I did so while I was down with the flu I colored.  The next few days I will show you all of the cards I made with my colored images.  I think I only have 2 more cards to make and I am done.

I colored Tilda with copics and put fun flock on all her fur. Glossy accents on her boots and Stickles gave her trim and wings sparkle. I then cut her out and placed her on a double matted Nestie. Ribbon and some snowflake buttons finished her off.  The sentiment was computer generated.  I hope you like!

Christmas Beauty....

I wanted to make most of my Christmas cards this year with Sweet Pea stamps so I have been trying to see my stamps in a different view.  This gorgeous beauty is called Purple Hearts and is one of Ching-chou Kuiks Fantasy Art Collection.  She can be purchased alone or with 3 others and a sentiment.

I colored her with my copics and added stickles to give her sparkle.  My background was done with chalk and I covered the hearts with red gemstones to look more like ornaments.  Double matted and placed on Holiday DP and adorned with a large poinsettia, she turned out pretty Chritmaslike!  What do you think?

Gem of The Ocean.....

One of my favorite places on the earth is the OCEAN so when I got the chance to showcase this magnificent creature I was so very pleased!!!  You can get this fascinating stamp at non other than Sweet Pea Stamps. It is one of our new artists' Jennifer Nilsson's "Sea Dragon".  You can purchase her as a single stamp or with 3 others and a sentiment.

I colored the stamp with copics and added stickles to give it some sparkle.  I took some photo paper and brayer-ed it to give an ocean like feel. The sea weed was made with punchanella ( what is left over after punching out sequins).  I cut a few sea shells on my Cricut and added a crinkle seam binding bow and a computer generated tag.  Last but not least a few gem stones were added for additional sparkle.  Working on this wonder makes me miss my opulent ocean and has me counting the days till I visit it again!!!  I hope you enjoy!

Winter Watcher.......

I fell in love with this stamp as soon as I saw it many moons ago, I finally got the chance to get her inked up and onto a card.  Her name is Winter Watcher and is by Chingchou Kuiks Fantasy Art Collection found at Sweet Pea Stamps.  She can be purchase as a single stamp or with 3 others and a sentiment.

I colored her with copics and then added stickles here and there.  I wanted my DP to look like the night sky and then I remembered I had this piece of iridescent paper for ages and thought it was perfect. I hung some jewels from one corner of my framed stamp and a few snowflakes and to finish it off some fringed ribbon.  I hope you like!
