A Christmas Carol......

Welcome to another week of wonder from the

We finally closed on our land and it is now ours!!! So now all the fun starts. This weekend we will start by going up and marking out where we want our driveway and the land cleared and start cutting down trees! On top of that I have painted my great room and my body is already revolting from that. I can not imagine what it will do after this weekend. All I can say is thank God for Aleive!

This week our challenge is So Distressing! Use any kind of method of distressing on your project and it is all good! I see so many of you doing this on your cards all the time so why not join on in?

All of the girls on the DT have been working so dang hard to give you inspiration so hop on over and take a look at what they did and then leave them a little lovin!  We also posted a DT call on the blog so if you love Digi Doodle Shop stamps and would like to be a part of a wondrous team you can find the details on how to do so right HERE

I want to say a hearty thank you to our wonderful Guest DT's for the month of August. They have showered us with their extraordinary talent and it was divine having you as part of the team. Thank you Emma and Susan!

I chose to share with you one of the newest releases called "A Christmas Carol".  I wanted to create a vintage postcard look so this was the perfect image.  I started by coloring with my copics and then used puffy paint dusted with glitter on all of their fur trim and the snow at their feet.  Glossy Accents where added to the song book and their mouths. I first did the background with chalks and then added some distressing ink in Antique Linen. I also hand drew the notes in the air as if they were singing. I double matted the image, both distressed with my handy dandy scissor and again the ink. The sheet music is cut out of an old hymnal that I bought at a thrift shop. The DP and  the sheet music also got a touch of the distress ink to age it. Finally I made my flower out of the same sheet music and spritz it with home made glimmer mist, added the bow, dew drops and wala here is my finished look. How did I do?

So won't you pop on over and join us and try your hand at the challenge. Don't forget to check out the Digi Doodle Shop. You will not beleive all the new stamps that have been added. If you do not keep checking back you will miss sooooooo much!!!  The winner of the challenge will get a $10.00 gift certificate to use at the shop!

If I have inspired you to KREATE please become my follower.
