Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Holiday Frenzy!!!

Our challenge for this time around was to create a tag, card, gift bag, box or anything else we might make as a last minute gift of course using one of the images from one of the marvelous talented designers at The Digital-Ink Co.  My choice was Tonz of Fun image designed by Stamp'en with CJ.  Isn't she adorable.  All the digi's are on sale right now at 50% off so she is available for $1.13.  What a deal! She could be used for many occasions.

I decided to make a last minute gift of a luminary for my Holiday Frenzy. You can get the tute here.  I adjusted the size to fit my image. I ended up using a complete piece of 12 X 12" cardstock. I placed vellum in the ovals.

I colored Ethyl, I named my elephant Ethyl, with chalk and highlighted her with copics.  The image has these little feathery hairs on her head so I went with that as inspiration and used both pink and black feathers on her head and as a background. Topped that off with a bright pink bow. I also added a few pink crystal gems to make her dazzle and give her some bling.

She got a pedi and mani with some cotton candy stickles to match the cording on her dress. The last thing was to wrap the top with matching pink ribbon and add a couple of pink crystal flowers.

Ethyl was added to opposite sides of the luminary so she can be seen from every angle.  Since this is a paper product I bought one of the new Glade no light candles and put it inside.

((((((DO NOT PUT A LIT CANDLE INSIDE))))))))

I hope I inspired you to Kreate and join the challenge! It starts today December 14th and ends December 26th. Pop on over to Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog and let your inner artist imerge!

There will be prizes worth over $50.00 to be given.
Doesn't that sound GREAT?

  6. Hi Kym, you really are so very creative. I love how you colored Ethyl (reminds me of the Flintstones when they were putting gas in their car...). The coloring is outstanding and all the fun stuff you added to it - the feather, the bow and giving her a mani and pedi - too cute! I also wanted to thank you for becoming a follower at Tellen's Place. I look forward to seeing more of your work. You have such a lovely blog - so fun filled with all sorts of creative beauties! ;D
