Love Story ..................

First of all I want to wish you all a very Happy Holiday and for all of you who do not celebrate Happy Sunday!

Now you wonder why I named my post a Love Story???  Today I am so very proud to once again celebrate the day I became Mrs.to my Mr..  Now he hates having his picture taken so almost every one of the pictures I have of him is of his back.  This one was taken on the beach at Hilton Head. It is one of my favorites and I called it "My Two Loves" . See my favorite place on earth is the ocean and then of course my love, my husband Michael.

OK so 7 years ago after being together for 5 1/2 years my prince finally said those words I had been waiting for so very long "Let's get married" That was at a bar on Saint Patrick's Day and he may have had too much beer but I held him to it.  After going to get a license and talking to the Justice of the Peace we decided on April 4th.  We had been having the most beautiful spring weather here in Wisconsin. It had been in the 60 and 70's and we had thought rather than getting married in a stuffy courthouse we would get married in our neighborhood park.  This way we could drive past it every day. What a mistake we made.

Friday the 4th came upon us and we woke up to rain first of all, that turned into freezing rain and sleet, snow, ice storm and a blizzard.  It was so dang cold we could hardly stand it.  We were so very worried our JOP would not even make it.  They were closing roads.  He was late but he showed up.  So we stood out side under a little covered spot freezing our patooties off and took our vows. Every picture we have of us we are shivering in it.  The few friends and relatives that we had come also braved the terrible weather to watch us say I DO. That is what you call true friendship.  They say that percipitation on your wedding day is good luck, well we couldn't have had any more than what we got.  Branches were breaking off of trees and electric wires were falling down from from the weight of the ice.

We have had our ups and downs these past 7 years but endurance and love has always paid off.  We always kiss each other hello, goodbye, goodmorning and goodnight.  We still hold each others hands when walking and still prefer each others company to that of other people so I think we will keep each other for a while more!!!!
